Pretty nice place, but it is an older hotel.
My stay was absolutely incredible! I was given a single when I asked for a double but that problem was resolved in minutes. (great staff really friendly) The room was spotless from the sheets to the bathtub! While I was enjoying my stay at this location, I decided to check out the pool which was in great condition despite there being rain a few days before...(I also loved the hot tub btw great addition!) Anyways, my stay was overall incredible and most definitely worth the price. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a room in the area, I plan on revisiting this location in the future! Thank you and props to the management and staff for keeping the hotel so great! :)
The whirlpool wasn't working and we saw a couple of bugs in our room.
As an Elite member, who works nights, this is the only La Quinta that has ever tried to charge me for 2 nights for checking in at 11am. I would have been checked in for 9 hours at most. They wouldn't budge on trying to rip me off. I stayed at Holiday Inn across the street instead.
The breakfast could have been better with the addition of fresh fruit. Bacon was all gone and we were told that there was no more, but then saw a couples of workers walk out of pantry area with several slices each.
Their pool area was pretty bad. The water was so murky I couldn't see a few inches in front of my face even with goggles. It was also very dirty; you'd constantly surface to be covered in debris which were floating on the surface. I literally found tiles on the floor of the pool that had fallen off the pool walls, they were crumbling so obviously. Also, the way the area was set up, there was no way to leave the pool area without a key card...so if you forgot/misplaced yours, you would be stuck using a call box or banging on the door to get out. (there was a gate to the outside of the property but it wouldn't open).
Nice room for an okay price. We managed to somehow not have booked the room we were expecting due to some confusion generated by some vagaries on their website. The room was nice enough, but didn't meet our needs as well as what we were expecting, as we were traveling with kids.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Hotel in Alice Texas that's part if the La Quinta chain. A good value. Comfortable rooms. Be careful pulling in from the road. There's a large dip in the driveway. Slow down.
